HEAD OF TRAINING

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Head of Training is responsible for ensuring satisfactory integration of flying training, synthetic flight training and theoretical knowledge instruction and for supervising the progress of individual trainees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Ensure that all training staff are versed in the content of the ATO training and procedures manual.
  • Ensure that all training is carried out in accordance with the ATO Training Plan and that relevant
  • Ensure that regulations are complied with.
  • Ensure that the flight, flight simulator and theoretical training syllabi and ATO curriculum is adhered to as described.
  • Ensuring that the highest standards of safety are maintained throughout the ATO.
  • Ensuring that the ATO is in compliance with the general requirements of the relevant CARs.
  • Ensuring that there are adequate numbers of suitably qualified training staff available to undertake the required training tasks. 
  • Ensuring that the quality and standard of training given by the training staff complies with specific requirements of the relevant CARs. 
  • Ensuring that the highest standards of discipline within the ATO are maintained. 
  • Ensuring the standardisation of all flight and ground training. 
  • Assist with line flight duties as may be required from the AOC. 
  • To take any action required to maintain a high standard of compliance in accordance with the requirements of CARs and to correct any shortcomings found. 

MINIMUN REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid CPL
  • Valid Class 1 Medical
  • Minimum of 2000 Hours Total Flying Time.
  • Minimum of 500 hours of Instruction
  • Minimum 500 hours on Turbine Aircraft. 
  • Must have minimum of 1000 on C208 
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience in the training field
