PRIMARY PURPOSE

This position is responsible for diagnosing mechanical problems, repairs and rebuilds equipment, installation of equipment, maintenance of equipment, troubleshooting, ordering parts as needed, welds, sandblast and paints equipment.

The position is Camp based

Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnosing mechanical problems
• Diagnosing problems and repairs brakes, transmissions, rear – ends, clutches, hydraulic systems, valves pumps and electrical problems.
• Welds equipment as needed.
• Sand blast, paint and repairs body of equipment as needed.
• Prepares shop work orders on equipment repair.
• Make service call as needed.
• Cleans workshop, storage area and parts room.
• Pay strict attention to safety in order to avoid injury.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to improve overall experience of the guest.

Minimum requirements

• A minimum of High School diploma is required.
• Must have a driver’s license.
• 3 years working experience as a mechanic.
• Very broad knowledge base in vehicle repair.
• Basic reading, written and arithmetic skills in spoken English.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and make repairs.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and to effectively present information to others.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Working independently with little supervision.
• Ability to work with people.
• Ability to work under pressure and changing workloads.
• Adaptability to deal with challenging situations, maintaining calmness at all times.
