PURPOSE STATEMENT

Wilderness is seeking a dedicated and experienced Area Manager to oversee the operations of multiple luxury camps. This role is critical in maintaining our high standards of guest service, staff management, sustainability practices, and asset care, in alignment with our group strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations across designated camps
• Ensure optimal staffing levels and team performance
• Drive guest satisfaction and elevate service quality
• Monitor and manage camp expenditure with monthly reporting
• Oversee camp asset care in collaboration with the Assets & Projects Manager
• Enforce and improve environmental, health, and safety standards
• Mentor camp staff and support professional development
• Address guest and agent feedback in coordination with Customer Service
• Support concession and community partnerships
  

Requirements:

• Proven leadership in hospitality or camp management (5+ years preferred)
• Proven track record of leading multiple teams
• Strong financial and operational oversight skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and team development abilities
• Commitment to environmental sustainability and community impact
• Willingness to travel 
• Windhoek or Camp based
